What does CGSA mean in ASSOCIATIONS

The Chicago Graduate Student Association (CGSA) is a student-led organization that represents and advocates for the interests of graduate students at the University of Chicago. The CGSA works to improve the quality of graduate education, provide support and resources for graduate students, and foster a sense of community among them.

The CGSA has four main goals:

1. To represent the interests of graduate students in university governance and decision-making.
2. To provide support and resources for graduate students, including academic, social, and financial assistance.
3. To foster a sense of community among graduate students through social events, workshops, and other activities.
4. To promote the professional development of graduate students and prepare them for careers in academia, industry, and other fields.

All registered graduate students at the University of Chicago are eligible to join the CGSA. Membership is free and open to all graduate students, regardless of their academic program or year of study.
